Greg A. Nuttall, B.A., LL.B., LL.M.i. President and CEO
Prior to assuming his position as President and CEO at Woodland, Greg was a General Partner of Rubicon Investment Group, a merchant bank focused on accelerating the growth of the companies it acquires and invests in. Prior to co-founding Rubicon in early 2001, Greg was Co-Founder and CEO of Cultural Research, a leading change management research and consulting firm focused on helping large and mid-sized organizations in Canada and the United States. Previously, Greg was a securities/mergers and acquisitions lawyer. Most recently, he practiced at Clifford Chance, the world's largest law firm, where he guided clients such as Goldman Sachs from his London, England base. Prior to this he practiced at Torys, a leading corporate law firm with practices in Toronto and New York. Greg has also been a successful technology investor as a partner of New Economy Capital. Greg earned his Master of International Laws degree at Cambridge University in England and is a Pegasus Scholar.

Dr. Robert Davis, B. Sc. (Applied Chem., Cal Tech), M.Sc. (Chem. Eng., Cal Tech) D.Sc(Chem. Eng., MIT)
Vice President & Chief Process Engineer
Dr. Davis has over 35 years experience in fluidized bed gasification of biomass and has successfully designed, built and operated a 1000 ton per day wood gasification plant which was owned and operated by the Southern Company. He has designed, built and supervised the start up of over 15 petrochemical and chemical plants in US, Europe and Japan.

Dr. Constantin Delibas, B. Sc., Ph.D., (Chem. Eng., University of Toronto)
Process Engineer

Dr. Delibas has been involved in ethanol production since 1991, when he reviewed available ethanol manufacturing technologies in completing his B.Sc. diploma project in Chemical Engineering. Since then he has focused on process engineering and optimization, including equipment design. Constantin’s Ph.D. thesis dealt with modeling and optimization of grinding wood chips and other cellulosic materials for papermaking. More recently, he has been involved in the development and demonstration of new technologies, including reactivation and recycling of ashes resulting from a fluidized bed combustor.
His industry and academic background is ideally suited to his role at Woodland, where he is specializing in the optimization of our proprietary processes.

Douglas J. Gray, B.Eng., M.Sc., P.Eng., PMP,
Vice-President, Engineering/Construction/Project Implementation

For the past twelve years Mr. Gray has held senior project and management roles for technology companies within the chemical processing industry. He is experienced with the design, construction and operations of process facilities that include the implementation of technologies, ranging from the destruction of hazardous waste to the production of cellulosic ethanol.  
Mr. Gray holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Canada’s Royal Military College (RMC) and a Masters of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Guelph.  He is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in addition  to  holding the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from PMI.

Doug began his career with the Department of National Defence, managing flight line maintenance and systems engineering for major projects.  His background in both gasification and alternate energy technologies, with an emphasis on project implementation, equips him well for his role as Woodland’s lead engineering and construction manager.

Christopher W. Jamieson, B.Sc (Hon) C.M.A., M.B.A., Chief Financial Officer 
Mr. Jamieson has extensive experience in finance, operations and banking. His background includes 15 years experience as a CFO of both public and early stage private companies, including a role as CFO of Union Energy (owner of Union Gas and Mark Resources) and Denison Energy. He is a Certified Management Accountant and holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from Queen's University.

Dr. Sue V. Kelly, B.Sc., D.V.M., Vice-President, Product Development
Dr. Kelly first became involved in the field of bio-mass conversion in 1990 when she undertook the research project to develop a replacement for incineration. During the following ten years, she partnered the evolution of the technologies (on which Woodland's processes are based) through the many stages of research, bench model testing, patent applications and prototype development. While taking part in these research and development activities, Sue played the essential role of interfacing between the scientific and business worlds.

Sue holds a B.Sc. from Concordia University ( Montreal ) and a D.V.M from the University of Guelph . Sue brings to Woodland her proven research skills, and her in-depth knowledge of the Woodland biomass-to-chemicals process, the forest products industry and the industrial chemical market.

Joel T. Kissack, LL.B., VP, Corporate Development and General Counsel
Prior to joining Woodland , Mr. Kissack was Senior Vice-President at a private alternative fuel equipment company, which sold to customers in 22 countries and which led its industry in technical innovation.   Before that, Joel was a senior partner at Davies, Ward and Beck (now Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP), where over 14 years he practiced corporate/securities; antitrust/competition; and information technology law.  He advised start-ups and some of North America ’s largest companies on a complete spectrum of corporate transactions, including M&A, finance, competition and market analysis, licensing, and strategic alliances.  

Joel was listed in both the Lexpert Canadian Legal Directory of Leading Competition and Antitrust Lawyers and the Euromoney Guide to the World’s Leading Competition and Antitrust Lawyers.  He wrote over 20 scholarly articles in his practice areas, published in a variety of professional publications.   Joel earned his law degree from University of Toronto and prior to that, studied engineering at the University of Western Ontario where he was in the top 10% of his class.

Larry J. Melnichuk, Vice-President, Design and Engineering
Our chief designer, Mr. Melnichuk first became interested in research while an undergraduate in Science at York University. Larry began work in his current field in 1990, and, following extensive research and testing, he developed a process for the "destruction" of hydrocarbon materials.

Larry began developing the technology to convert biomass in 2000. He has extensive experience at process design, laboratory protocols and testing, and equipment specification. As head of Design, Engineering and R&D, he continues the process of inventing and developing new technologies.

Antony G. Moran, B.Sc. (IT), Vice-President, Business Development
A Co-Founder of Woodland, Mr. Moran has over 35 years experience in several industries and business sectors, ranging from Information Technology (where he developed and managed sales and marketing teams across both Canada and the United States) to Advertising Agencies and Broadband Wireless communication. He was a founding partner at Totmor Capital Sources Inc., the management consulting and financing company which helped launch Woodland in 2000. Tony was previously President & CEO of TomaWeb Inc., a software development company specializing in custom Web Applications and Web Enabled Software. For several years he was Vice President, Marketing & Sales at Storagetek Canada, (the leading North American manufacturer of mainframe computer peripherals), following a role as Region Manager for Central and Western Canada at Computel Systems Inc.
